Dr. Shrikant Kurhade is a well-known name in Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal and Bariatric surgery in Pune and PCMC. He has a strong interest in GI disease and comprehensive care, assisting patients in leading more active and healthy lives. He has treated hundreds of patients in the field of surgery, including complicated, difficult, and unique cases such as single incision & tiny laparoscopic surgery.

He completed his master’s degree in surgery at Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Hospital in Mumbai. It is Maharashtra’s top medical college, with one of the best surgery departments in India. He also completed a two-year national board fellowship in laparoscopic surgery at Meenakshi Mission Hospital in Madurai’s Gastroenterology department. It has one of India’s best gastroenterology departments. He is often invited as a faculty member to national conferences to offer his extensive experience in laparoscopic surgery. He has numerous papers based on his studies in the field of laparoscopic surgery.

Throughout his tenure, he was involved in the administration of numerous mass casualty scenarios. He was one of the surgeons who treated victims of the Mumbai terrorist attack, for which he received an appreciation certificate from the Maharashtra Government.
